The deck is amazing for lounging in the summer time !! The views are gorgeous and the pool is a plus !!

Mountain information:

We usually spend 2- 3 days at snowmass

Eat at café suzanne — cafeteria style -- over the the elk creek gondola and have the beouf bourginon — beef stew so good my husband and i talk about it all year. 
There is a great 20 minute hike at the top of this side of the mountain that takes you to an out of bounds but in bounds experience — the run is called long shot and you access it off the top of the elk camp lift — if you have skiers of a variety of level it is something you can do together.

On the snowmass mall, venga venga is upscale super yummy mexican — sit down restaurant

In the new lower mall area sneaky's tavern is great for lunch or apres — sit down restaurant:

Highlands

You should definitely also try highland's (another one of the mountains — most vertical drop in colorado) and plan to have a somewhat decadent lunch at cloud nine:

Ajax — aspen mountain

And the usually 2 days on ajax — aspen mountain, steps from the condo — and you have to eat at ajax tavern (we usually eat there 2 – 3 times in a week) right at the base os aspen mtn.

Buttermilk is more of a beginner mountain but has great cruising runs !!!

Transportation to the mountains

Bus from aspen to snowmass to ski – where does it leave from, is there a schedule, does it cost money

The ski bus is free from 8 am – 4:30 at rubey park— here is a link to it on a map from the condo — just 3 blocks down durant — you can get shuttle to snowmass and highlands:

Restaurants — there are so many — but these are some aspen favorites:

Matsuhisa — amazing, expensive and amazing again sushi

Ajax tavern — can't be missed

Jimmy's — great for steak

Cache cache — bar menu — super beautiful and much less expensive than the restaurant

Campo di fiori — wonderful italian — not too heavy

Ute city — kind of fusion — really good

Weinerstube for breakfast

Jour de fete — french deli/bistro/take-out

Kenichi — cool atmosphere, great sushi

Asie for delivery chinese

The big wrap for wrap sandwiched and salads during the day — cash only

We have a great snowmobiling connection if you want to take a day off of skiing

Sky hotel — they have a great fireplace lounge for apres ski

Or just lounge on the sofa in the condo with a glass of wine

You can walk to everything !! Including the free buses to all the ski areas !!
